Success Is Binary

In fact — most things in life are binary.

June 08, 2017

You’ve got two options.

You are or you aren’t. You will or you won’t. You do or you don’t.

In the end, you decide the life that you have. No one else can do that for you.

And everything is predicated on that binary decision.

You decide what you do with your time. You decide the path you take. You decide what’s reasonable and what’s not.

Then you live with the consequences of those decisions. You’re either successful or you’re not.

There is no ‘try’. It’s only through doing that success comes your way.

The world doesn’t care about your specific situation. It doesn’t care about your problems or your past successes.

They might make a good story in a few years, but right now they can either be excuses or kindling for the burning desire you have in your heart.

You decide the approach.

Are you going to let yourself hold you back? Or are you going to take your life by the horns and push it so far in the right direction that getting the life you want is inevitable?

Figure out who you want to be, what you want to do and how you want to make an impact and chase it with all you have.

Or, dream about who you want to be and sit on the sidelines and watch life pass you by while your dreams quickly fade away.

Don’t let high school be your glory years. Don’t let your past be the best version of yourself.

The best in life is yet to come. But it’s up to you whether or not that statement is actually true.

There’s no pondering. It’s binary. You’re either going to do it or you’re not. You might as well not lie to yourself.

If a dream is buried deep in your heart, it becomes part of who you are. It becomes the north star of all of your decisions. It causes you to grow beyond yourself.

You know the saying, “when there’s a will, there’s a way”. The will is binary — and there is always a way.

You decide.
