You’ve Got One Shot At Life

Act like it.

May 03, 2017

This is something I have to remind myself of everyday.

When I don’t feel like getting out of bed. When I don’t feel like being productive. When I don’t think I can make a difference in the world.

YOU decide how you feel. Perception is up to you. If you actually got out of bed this morning, be thankful you have the ability to do that.

This is different from the perspective of “live everyday like it’s your last”. That’s hogwash.

This is a call to dream, to build, and to spend time on the things that matter in life.

People get comfortable with their lives and settle for things that are well within their capabilities. They act like they are going to live forever.

I understand you have obligations. I understand you have baggage. I understand someone in the past said you couldn’t be exactly what you want to be.

But the fact of the matter is, you decide how you respond to the things that happen to you.

I want everyone I know to reach their full potential. I want them to be pushed to their limits, so they can truly know who they are.

It’s sad watching some people live out mediocre lives when they have the capability to be world changers.

The world needs you. You’re the only person on the planet that has your experiences, your mentality, and your perspective.

Sure, it’s hard to be that. Sure, it would mean changing almost everything about your life. Sure, you might have to drop some relationships along the way.

But you only live once, remember?

What would you rather choose? An incredible legacy, documented and talked about for hundreds of years? Or the only written evidence you existed is on a tombstone?

Everyone dies. Most have regrets, some don’t. Which will you choose?

These are harsh words, but you can’t tell me it’s not true.
